Soldiers of the multinational battalion in Bosnia and Herzegovina restored the memorial to the late pilot of K.u.K. monarchy. Dated July 10, 1913, July 10, 1913, K.u.K. Lieutenant Oskar Dudic crashed the plane. The young lieutenant survived the accident, but died the next day from internal injuries. Oskar Dudić was the fourth killed in the area of the still young air force in the monarchy and was celebrated as a hero of the Austrian air force at the time. Over the years, the memory of him has been forgotten, and the initiative of the multinational battalion is rekindling the flame of memory here. It was researched for weeks in order to restore the monument at the end of last week.
Progresys also supported this project as its general sponsor. The laying of the wreath was honored by the presence of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Johann Luif, and the Austrian Ambassador to BiH, Ulrike Hartmann. In her speech, the Austrian ambassador praised the voluntary engagement of Austrian soldiers in her free time, as well as the involvement of local authorities and the population in the reconstruction work. After that, the awards of the organization for war graves "Austrian Black Cross" were presented. The highlight was the laying of a wreath, which ended with the sound of the musical work "I Had a Friend".
